Privacy Policy

This page explains what data Quanthetic handles, where it's kept and what control you have over it. It covers quanthetic.pages.dev and both apps on it. The honest summary is that we collect almost nothing, because there is nothing to sign up for.

The short version

There are no accounts. Your strategies, drawings, settings and backtest history are stored in your own browser and never sent to us. Our servers only see the requests your browser makes for prices, along with the technical details every website receives, such as your IP address. When a chart shows live prices, your browser also connects to biquote.io, the service that supplies them. We don't use cookies, analytics, ads or trackers, and we don't sell anything.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Quanthetic is made and run by AdarshXD (Adarsh Rao), one person based in India. Under data protection law that makes us the "controller", or the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. For any privacy question, request or complaint, write to xd.adarsh.xd@gmail.com. That is also our grievance contact under the DPDP Act.

2. What reaches us

Price requests

The market, timeframe and date range your browser asks our server for, so it can send back the candles. They aren't stored against you or linked to anything else about you.

Technical data

Your IP address, browser type and similar details that come with every web request. Cloudflare, our host, processes these to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We can see overall traffic figures, not individual visitors.

Email

Only if you write to us. We use it to reply and keep it only as long as we need to.

3. What stays on your device

These are saved by your browser, on your device, so the apps remember your work. None of it is uploaded and we can't see it.

Strategy Lab

Your strategy code in each language, the market, timeframe and history you picked, your layout, a cache of candles, and the log of your past runs. In localStorage and IndexedDB.

Charts

Your drawings, indicators, chart style, layouts, saved replay sessions and a cache of candles. In IndexedDB.

You can delete all of it by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Charts also has a reset under Settings, and the Lab can clear its candle cache. Deleting it can't be undone, because we don't have a copy.

4. How we use data

To send you the site and the prices you ask for, keep the service secure and working, answer your email, and meet legal obligations. We don't sell or rent personal data, use it for advertising, or build profiles.

5. Legal basis (GDPR)

If you're in the EEA or the UK: we process technical data and price requests because we have a legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and because it's needed to give you what you asked for. We process email to reply to you, and anything else only where the law requires it.

6. Cookies and local storage

We don't set cookies. The browser storage described in section 3 is strictly necessary for the apps to remember your work, so no consent banner is needed. There are no advertising cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or session recording.

7. Who we share data with

Cloudflare hosts the site and our price service, under its own privacy policy. To answer a price request, our server fetches the files it needs from our market data provider. Your IP address and browser details are not passed on.

Live prices on a chart come from biquote.io, and your browser fetches them from biquote directly rather than through us. That means biquote receives your IP address and the technical details that come with any request, under its own terms and privacy policy. Nothing else about you is sent to it, and it is only contacted while a chart that has live prices is open. We may also share data if the law requires it.

8. Data leaving your country

Cloudflare runs a global network, so technical data can be processed in other countries, including the United States and the EU, under the safeguards Cloudflare provides. biquote's servers may also be outside your country.

9. How long we keep it

We don't keep price requests against you. Cloudflare keeps its own logs under its policy. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with them. Data on your device stays until you delete it.

10. How we protect it

Everything is served over HTTPS. There are no passwords to leak, and your strategy code never leaves your browser. The pages load no scripts from anyone else.

11. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and ask us to correct or delete it. Under India's DPDP Act you can also nominate someone to act for you, and take a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India if we don't resolve it. In the EEA and the UK you can also object, ask for restriction or portability, and complain to your local supervisory authority. In California you can ask to know, delete or correct, and you won't be treated differently for doing so; we don't sell or share personal information. Since we hold almost nothing, most requests will be about email. Write to xd.adarsh.xd@gmail.com and we'll reply within the time the law allows.

12. Children

Quanthetic is meant for people aged 13 and over, and under 18 only with a parent or guardian's consent. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

If Quanthetic ever adds accounts or starts collecting anything new, this policy will be updated before that change goes live, and the date at the top will change with it.

14. Contact and grievances

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email xd.adarsh.xd@gmail.com. See also the Terms of Service.
